Land of The Rising Sun

Nippon-koku or Nihon-koku, literally, the State of Japan) is an island nation in East Asia.[10] Located in the Pacific Ocean, it lies to the east of the Sea of Japan, China, North Korea, South Korea and Russia, stretching from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea and Taiwan in the south. The characters that make up Japan's name mean "sun-origin", which is why Japan is sometimes referred to as the "Land of the Rising Sun"..

Historical Town : Kyoto

Kyoto is located in a valley, part of the Yamashiro (or Kyoto) Basin, in the eastern part of the mountainous region known as the Tamba highlands. The Yamashiro Basin is surrounded on three sides by mountains known as Higashiyama, Kitayama and Nishiyama, with a height just above 1,000 metres (3,281 ft) above sea level. This interior positioning results in hot summers and cold winters. There are three rivers in the basin, the Ujigawa to the south, the Katsuragawa to the west, and the Kamogawa to the east.

This is because the Japanese sentence elements are marked with particles that identify their grammatical functions.

Phrase for Intermediate Grammar

Japanese nouns have no grammatical number, gender or article aspect. The noun hon (本) may refer to a single book or several books; hito (人) can mean "person" or "people"; and ki (木) can be "tree" or "trees". Where number is important, it can be indicated by providing a quantity (often with a counter word) or (rarely) by adding a suffix. Words for people are usually understood as singular.

V.naide, without V.ing, instead V.ing

after verb + naide (ないで),when first sentence have negative format with te form (て）is often followed by another sentence and some times, indicate a manner or situation that carried out. see the example below

日本で、何も　言わないで食事を　始めるは　良くない。
nihonde, nanimo iwanaide syokuji o hajimeru wa yokunai.
in japan, its not good to begin a meal without saying anything.

今朝から　何も食べないで　歩いては　行けません。
kesa kara nanimotabenaide aruite ha ikemasen.
(i)can not walking without eat anything from this morning.

図書館へ行かないので、家で勉強する学生もいる　。
tosyokan e ikanainode ie de benkousuru gakuseimo iru.
they are students who study at home instead of going to library.

勉強しないで、試験を受けるのはよくない。
benkyousinaide, siken wo ukeruno wa yokunai
it's not good take the exam without studying first.

tara ii desu ka, ..should....

this the others basic grammar in Japanese, ... tara ii desu ka, it's mean "... should have ...", but it's sometimes hove more meaning than that, so let's see example below to learn more.

Where should (I) ...
Doko .... tara idesuka

for example
Doko de kutsu wo kattara ii desuka
どこで　靴　を　買ったら　いいですか？
where should i buy shoes ?

doko de hon wo karitara ii desuka
どこで　本を　借りたら　いいですか。
where should i borrow the book ?

When should ...
itsu... tara ii desuka

example sentence
itsu kono posokon wo kittara ii desuka
いつ　この　パサコン　を　切ったら　いいですか
when i should turn of this computer ?

itsu kono akai botan wo ositara ii desuka
いつ　この　赤い　ボタン　を　押したら　いいですか。
when i should click this red button ?

this simple expression is important, especially when we late, or we confuse what must we do if something wrong happen, basically by says " do shitara ii desuka" nihonjin (japanese people) was understand that you in confusing,

jikan ni maniawanai toki doshitara ii desuka?
if i have late, what should i do ?

困った　ことが　あれば　どしたら　いいですか。
komatta koto ga areba doshitara iidesuka
